In the spirit of the festive season, The Pioneer Vice Chancellor of National Open University of Nigeria and Former Secretary To Kogi State Government, Professor Olugbemiro Jegede has donated wheelchairs to some Persons who are leaving with Disabilities in the bid to make moving around easy for them.
According to the philanthropist, the gesture is in commemoration of the first year of the departure of his dear mother Mama Iwalewa Esther Jegede who passed on a year ago.
He said that the kind donation is being done in memory of his loving mother
to assist the people leaving with Disabilities with the alternative means of movement
The professor appeals to families individuals and corporate organizations who have the well without to always remember people leaving with Disabilities.
The donation was done through a prominent None Governmental organization in the state, Challenge Parenthood Initiatives CPI.
While Making her remarks during the donation , the Executive Director of CPI Ms. Eunice Abimbola Agbogun commended the efforts of professor Jegede for demonstrating his love for people leaving with Disabilities in this season of Christmas by providing them with alternative to enable them to be able to move around.
She called on kogites and Nigerian to emulate the good gesture by putting smile on the faces of people leaving with Disabilities
